RekaTools Privacy Policy

1. Scope and publisher

This policy explains how the RekaTools engineering tools published by PT Karsa Reka Cipta (Rekacipta) handle information. It is the common privacy policy for the products and versions identified in Section 2.

The current covered tools are Chrome extensions for instrumentation and electrical engineering calculations, worksheets and local calculation records. They do not connect to, read from or control field equipment.

This policy covers the tools themselves. Separate processing by websites you visit, Chrome Web Store, your browser provider, operating system, printing services or other Rekacipta services is outside this policy’s scope.

2. Tools and versions covered

The shared practices in this policy apply to all the versions listed here. The information processed depends on which tool and features you use.

Saving a snapshot in either tool also records a locally generated snapshot identifier and save timestamp. These identify local records; they are not used to track you across tools or websites.

A common policy does not combine your data. Each extension has its own local records. The covered versions do not share records with each other, synchronize across devices or connect to a Rekacipta account.

3. Information processing and collection

Information you enter is processed on your device to provide the calculations, worksheets and record features described above. The covered versions do not transmit these entries or saved records to Rekacipta or third parties.

They do not ask for an account, login credentials or payment information. They contain no telemetry, analytics, advertisements or remote executable code. Their calculation tools make no network requests.

The covered versions do not read website content, browsing history, cookies or location, and do not monitor your activity on other websites. They do not automatically collect device identifiers or usage statistics for Rekacipta.

Typing a tag, label or note does not send it to us. However, the contents you enter can be included in your local saved snapshots, exports or printed records. Avoid entering unnecessary personal or confidential information.

4. Local storage and retention

Instrument Toolkit: clicking Save locally stores a worksheet snapshot in that extension’s local browser storage. Up to 20 worksheet snapshots can be saved.

Electrical Calculator: clicking Save result stores a calculation snapshot in that extension’s local browser storage. Up to 20 calculation snapshots can be saved.

The limits apply separately to each extension in each browser profile. Live calculations and unsaved form entries are not automatically persisted as saved snapshots. There is no cloud synchronization.

Saved records remain until you delete them, clear the relevant browser or extension data, or remove the relevant extension. Retention may also be affected by your browser or device. Rekacipta does not hold a server copy and cannot recover local records for you.

5. Access, export, printing and deletion

• Load: opens a saved worksheet or restores saved calculation settings. Electrical Calculator recalculates results from the restored settings.
• Delete: removes an individual snapshot from the relevant extension’s local storage.
• Delete saved in Instrument Toolkit, or Delete all saved in Electrical Calculator, removes the saved records for that extension in the current browser profile.
• Clear current in Instrument Toolkit resets the current worksheet; it does not delete saved snapshots. Control availability and wording may differ between tools.
• Export CSV: creates a file on your computer. Exported copies remain until you delete them separately.
• Print / PDF: uses your browser’s printing facilities in the full workspace. Your selected printer, PDF location or printing service is outside the tools’ control.

Deleting records in one extension does not delete records in the other extension. Deleting a snapshot also does not remove CSV files, PDFs, printouts, backups or copies you have shared. Export a backup before uninstalling a tool or clearing its data.

6. Sharing, sale and use of information

Rekacipta does not receive, sell or transfer your entries or saved records from the covered versions. The tools use them locally only to provide the calculation, worksheet, conversion and record functions of the tool you are using.

The covered versions do not use your entries for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness assessment or lending decisions. If you choose to share an exported file, send a print job or otherwise distribute your records, that sharing is initiated by you.

7. Device security and permissions

The covered versions request no Chrome manifest permissions or website host permissions. They do not inject scripts into websites or access the contents of your existing tabs.

Local records depend on the security of your device and browser profile. The tools do not provide a separate password lock or their own encryption for saved records. People or software with access to your browser profile, device backups or exported files may be able to access those records.

Avoid entering passwords, personal information or confidential plant information in instrument tags, notes or calculation labels. Protect your device and browser profile, and store exported records in an appropriate location.

8. External websites and services

The tools may include optional links to the Rekacipta website or engineering references. These websites open only when you choose to follow their links. Visiting a website involves separate requests and may be subject to that website’s privacy and cookie practices.

The offline and no-tracking statements in this policy describe the covered extension tools. They do not assert that this policy webpage, Chrome Web Store, your browser or other services do not process visitor information.

If you contact Rekacipta through a website or another communication channel, any information you voluntarily send is separate from the local records inside these tools. Include only information needed for your enquiry and use the contact channel’s applicable privacy information.

9. New tools, versions and policy changes

This page serves as the common RekaTools privacy-policy location. When another RekaTools product or version is added, we will update the covered-tools list and describe its actual data handling before presenting it as covered by this policy.

Unreleased products, planned integrations and tools not identified in Section 2 are not represented as having the offline practices described here. Any feature involving accounts, cloud storage, payments, analytics, website access, AI services or external APIs requires a description of the data involved, its purpose and recipients, and any applicable permissions and user choices.

If data handling changes, we will update this policy, its revision/effective date and the relevant product or store disclosures. Any required user disclosures or consent will be provided before changed handling takes place. The current specific practices apply to the versions listed in Section 2.
